Depression happens more frequently in females than males. Some conflicts in the way in which the depressed feeling manifests have been seen from gender and age. In men, it manifests much as fatigue, irritability, and rage. They may exhibit more careless behavior and misuse drugs and alcohol. They also tend to not realize that they are gloomy and go to want assistance. For women, depression tends to appear as sorrow, worthless, and remorse. For young kids, depression is more likely to emerge as education denial, anxiety, separation from parents, and care about failing parents. Depressed teens tend to be irritable, sulky, and go into trouble at education. They also often get co-morbid emotions, eating disorders, or drug abuse. In older adults, sadness or sorrow and medical maladies, more general in the population, also contribute to or cause depression.
The great sadness is characterized by at least five out of the characteristics symptoms. At least one of these symptoms is the intense feelings of sorrow or the loss of curiosity and pleasure in most usual activities. Those different symptoms associated with great depression include reduction or change in appetite, insomnia or hypersomnia, psychomotor movement or slowness, endless boredom, feeling uselessness or excessive and inappropriate guilt, repeated thoughts of death. These symptoms remain for two weeks or longer and constitute a significant difference from the past process. Cultural, occupational, educational, or other critical process is also or their regular cultural activities.
Suicidal ideation with or without proper programs for committing suicide, and cognitive difficulties, etc., decreased ability to think, focus and make conclusions. Which only makes it more at a high risk of committing suicide. Depression is a great deal and should be one of the many priorities because not having adequate help could cause a person's life.
Hello Angelica, I think that depression is at an all-time high in today's society. I agree that it looks different for the different age groups as well as genders. Depression does not always look the same for other people. Think about Robin Williams how he was happy and cheerful all the time, yet he was suffering from depression. I would say that he did not portray any of the characteristics that you had said. I think that depression can not be categorized into certain aspects of behavior within people. I agree that if someone does change their behavior for the negative, it would be in our best interest to talk to them and see what is going on with their lives. We need to aid the people in need, stop suicides altogether, and let people know that there are people who care about them.
